I'm turning 65 years old this month but still working full time and receive health insurance coverage from my employer, do I need to enroll in Medicare Part B and Supplement plan?

No. You do not need to enroll in a Medicare Part B as long as you are working and have credible coverage from your employer. Even if you are retired and you have coverage from your spouse's employer you do not need to enroll in Medicare Part B.

I received Medicare Part A card in the mail from the social security office, what do I need to do?

You will receive Medicare Part A card, if you are eligibile, in the mail from the Social Security office upon turning 65 years old. You do not pay for Medicare Part A, as this is an earned benefit from the taxes paid through at least 20 years of work.

Can I enroll in Medicare Part B when I lose my employer coverage?

Yes. As soon as you lose your employer coverage you have an open enrollment period that allows you to enroll in Medicare part B and find a Medicare Supplement plan as well.

How can I enroll in Medicare Part B?

You can enroll in Medicare Part B over the phone, online, or in person at your local Social Security Office.
